Besides, there might be a bear out there... (music background: trrrmm trmm trmm trmm)
Me and my best teddy bear..
If you find yourself and your husband to have these songs/ words ringing in your head or singing this to each other while driving, you definitely have a kid who watches the same Barney episode over and over again, day in and day out and refuses to let you watch the news.
Oh wait, before you start the theory that it is not good for kids to watch the TV etc, well, there are dishes that needs to be done, laundry to be hanged, bath to be taken, meals to be cooked etc. Well, just make sure that there is an allocated no-TV time to allow some quality family time.
Anyhow, this blog post was meant to bring you some updates on how our little girl has grown. She has started to whine, throw tantrums, lie on the hard floor when she is angry and refuses to stand OR to be carried without any notice. Our little Caris....
gets angry if she doesn't get what she wants, like mommy's bolster, which is double her size.... nevermind about the size, as long as daddy and mommy can't have it.... she is happy.
Our little girl whom we brought downstairs to play with the beach ball....
and instead, insisting on going down the slope to the road, and if you refuse to follow her way, she would arch her body and hang unto you with one hand (I remember my own dad saying to me decades ago, "no backbone ah", which is exactly the case of Caris now).
The trick of distracting her to stop her from whining....
She wanted to walk by herself without mommy holding her hands by the pool. Obviously, it was a big no no, she got angry and arch her body again, so mommy just let her sit on the ground.
Despite all these, we still adore her and take this as a phase of toddlerhood where we ourselves need to learn how to manage it. Sometimes we give in, sometimes we ignore, sometimes we reprimand her, sometimes it gets on our nerves but nevertheless, little girl is still our little darling.
