The "Formula" for Inflation

Price of the kids' milk powder a.k.a formula observes one way street; UP. Over 2 yrs, prices went up to almost 20%.

With that, we decided to STORE up, since prices for formula will never come down. Fixed Depost rates are only ~3% anyway.

We paid a visit to Joo Hing, a mini market at Terengganu Road who makes much cash from selling infant fomula, at a relatively cheaper price I would say. No credit card accepted.

note: The Anmum box contains mei mei's expensive Frisolac 1.

If only we get income tax deduction from infant formula & diapers... The Budget never seems to look after people from the middle-income category.

We bought Hannah's milk from Joo Hing also when she was a baby. A few ringgit cheaper makes a lot of difference when you buy half a dozen tins :)

wow you are a good financial controller Julia! Good move.
But after convert still very cheap formula in Msia :)
Is Chloe on formula now? Else after 1 yrs old you can slowly give her fresh milk, save a lot than formula.

Hi Ida, Caris & Chloe still on formula. Once in a while give Caris freshmilk; but over here it's pretty expensive. RM6.50 for 1L, that's discounted price.
